My Ameba 8195 board is requiring to re-burn the flash image, see below.
How do I have to proceed to restore everything?
ROM Version: 0.3
Build ToolChain Version: gcc version 4.8.3 (Realtek ASDK-4.8.3p1 Build 2003)
Check boot type form eFuse
Image1 length: 0x0, Image Addr: 0x0
Image1 Validation Incorrect !!!
Please Re-boot and try again, or re-burn the flash image
Mi OS is Windows XP - SP3. It's supposed to supported by Arduino / Ameba.
I also gave a try on Windows 10 it's even worst, no way to install the Mbed serial driver. I cannot figure out why !
As per you suggestion I just tried again as follow:
- Arduino IDE 1.6.7
- Pick up the FlashMemoryBasic example
- Compilation successfull but lasted about 10 (ten) minutes
- Uploading still not ended when 30 (thirty) minutes have elapsed, have I to wait for more time?
- Ameba board still not loaded with sofware, it still ask for re-burning the flash image.
It's unclear to me how the Ameba / Arduino bootloader works and how it can be restored when required.
I am using iether Arduino IDE 1.6.7 or 1.6.12 although I am not much satisfied with Arduino / Ameba combination (very slow compilation & slow + unstable upload process).
Current IAR release is 7.7 and code size is limited. Regular release might be better but out of the scope of my budget.
Thanks for your kind attention.
Would you please check your IAR version? Now the latest version of the Ameba standard SDK only support IAR 7.3.
