Question, I just received my Ameba and hooked up an RTL8710 module to it according to the wiring diagram I received. I have tried to program the blink demo from the Arduino but I haven't had any success. I always get "The system cannot find the file specified. 0 file(s) copied. upload finish". The blink demo doesn't run and the ameba writer disconnects from the PC. The USB device is unrecognized at this point and I have to unplug and replug the ameba writer back to the PC to talk to it again.
Do I have to program anything special into the RTL8710 module? This is a raw module with no support circuitry at all.
I'm running windows 7 and have followed the instructions on the site very carefully. Is there a trick to doing this?
Thanks for your response.
I have installed the following version of the software
- Arduino IDE Ver 1.6.9
- Realtek Ameba board support ver 2.0.1
I have tried the blink program with many output pins set to output and attempted to toggle them all. I have it wired according to your diagram you include with the Ameba writer (checked many times). I'm not sure what you mean by the following question.
Are you downloading the Ameba Arduino SDK at Arduino IDE?
I went through the getting started doc again and didn't find a reference to "Ameba Arduino SDK".
One thing I did notice in your getting started doc you mention "Arduino Ameba" board. I only have "Ameba RTL8195A" and "Ameba RTL8710" as options for board selection. I selected the second one for my experiments. If the "Arduino Ameba" is no longer available you might want to update your document.
I'm still getting the same error.
Thanks for any help you can give.
